Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow

As it is well said, “The past is behind, learn from

it

The future is ahead, prepare for it

The present is here, live it”

There are two days in every week about which we should

not brood. Two days should be kept free from fear

and apprehension. One of these days is yesterday with its

flaws and faults, its disappointments and pains. Yesterday

has passed forever way beyond our control. Nothing in the

world can remind yesterday. We cannot undo a single act

we performed. We cannot take back a single word We

uttered, “YESTERDAY IS GONE”

The other day we should not worry about is TOMORROW.

Along with all its possible adversities, burdens, big

promises, and poor performance. Tomorrow is way too

beyond our immediate control. Tomorrow, the sun will rise

either in its full splendor or behind a mask of clouds, but it

will rise What if you don’t get to see it tomorrow? Until it

does, we have no slake in tomorrow, for it is yet unborn.

This just leaves us with one day ‘TODAY’. Any person can

fight the battles in just one day. It is only when you and I

add burdens of those two daunting infinities of yesterday

and tomorrow that we break down. It is not the experience

of today that causes anxiety in people, but the remorse of

a quilt laden yesterday and the dread of unseen

tomorrow’s that may bring something uneventful along with

it. We kill time. We save time. We rob and get robbed of

time, we lose time, and we have all the time in the world.

But no one of us is powerful enough to stop the march of

time or slow it down. Life is so much more than what

happened. It’s what you make of it.
